RIEFENSTAHL, SOUND OF FALLING, and WITH HASAN IN GAZA nominated for European Film Awards

The European Film Academy has announced the nominations in nine categories for the 38th European Film Awards.

The shortlists were first published on October 14, and now the nominations for the European Film Awards have been finalized. The shortlist included 44 feature films, 15 documentaries, and 8 animated films. The nominations were selected from this list.

 

These three German films are in the running for awards in several categories:

The nominations are based on the votes of 5,400 members of the European Film Academy who have been watching the films included in the annual Academy Shortlist. Now the Academy members will vote for the winners. Last, but not least, next week remaining nominations will be announced.

The 38th European Film Awards will then take place on January 17, 2026, in Berlin.
The prestigious awards are annually presented jointly by the European Film Academy and European Film Academy Productions.
