Following the introduction of member chapters for each department this year, chapter members selected three nominations per category. All Academy members will now vote to determine the winners.

We are delighted that films and talents from Germany have been nominated in the following categories (German talents  in bold):

The nominations are based on the votes of 5,400 members of the European Film Academy who have been watching the films included in the annual Academy Shortlist. Now the Academy members will vote for the winners. 

The 38th European Film Awards will then take place on January 17, 2026, in Berlin.
The prestigious awards are annually presented jointly by the European Film Academy and European Film Academy Productions.
