GERMAN SHORT FEATURE FILMS IN STUDENT ACADEMY AWARDS® SEMI-FINAL 2022
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced the semi-finalists of this year’s Student Academy Awards®. Two German films produced by Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF are preselected In the „Animation“ category. It will be the first time this year that there aren’t any separate categories for the US and international films: all of the film school films will be competing in the four "Narrative", "Documentary", "Animation", "Alternative/Experimental" categories for three Gold, Silver and Bronze prizes each.
The Locarno Film Festival is being held from 3 - 13 August, 2022. Thanks to a partnership with German Films this year, First Look selected 6 titles and will be giving their producers an opportunity to present them to industry professionals during the Locarno Film Festival from 5 - 7 August, 2022.
