KINO/23: GERMAN FILM FESTIVAL IN HONG KONG AND MACAO

From October 12 to 22, 2023, the German Film Festival KINO/23 was held in Hong Kong and Macao. German director Aelrun Goette was on site and attended the screening of her film  IN A LAND THAT NO LONGER EXISTS.

GERMAN FILMS IN TALLINN

The Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) took place in its 27th edition from November 3 to 19, 2023 in Estonia. German Films held a reception and welcomed international film industry members as well as German filmmakers like Aylin Tezel and actor Langston Uibel.

GERMAN FILMS AT RAINDANCE FESTIVAL LONDON

Composer and ambassador of FACE TO FACE WITH GERMAN FILMS Dascha Dauenhauer was a panel guest at the Raindance Film Festival, which was held from October 25 to November 4, 2023 in London. In addition, Merle Grimme's CLASHING DIFFERENCES had its UK premiere at the Film Festival.

The International Documentary Association (IDA) announced the nominees for the 39th IDA Documentary Awards 2023 including several nominations for German Productions and Co-Productions.

GERMAN SHORTS AT T-PORT‘S LIGHTHOUSE SELECTIONS 2023

T-Port, the industry platform for student and short films, unveiled the titles selected for its annual “Lighthouse Selections”, including 14 German productions.

INTRO by Anne Isensee and LONG TIME NO TECHNO by Eugenia Bakurin were part of a public presentation of the T-Port Lighthouse Selections in partnership with Torino Film Festival.

Every year, new projects are presented at the Annecy International Animation Film Market. Authors (with or without a producer) can now apply with their animation projects for the Mifa Pitches 2024. Films can be submitted in the following categories: Short Films, Feature Films, TV Series & Specials and Digital Experiences.
Deadline for submission is February 1, 2024. More information can be found here.
