German Films awards € 112.000 funding for the theatrical campaigns of German films abroad

At this year's fifth session on 12 October 2006, the "Distribution

Support" awards committee funded twelve foreign theatrical campaigns of

German films with a total of Euros 112.000.

The committee decided to support the following films:

 

* EDEN in Holland and Norway

* ELEMENTARY PARTICLES (ELEMENTARTEILCHEN) in Spain and Holland

* INTO GERAT SILENCE (DIE GROSSE STILLE) in Spain and Canada

* TOUGH ENOUGH (KNALLHART) in Turkey

* MONDAY (MONTAG KOMMEN DIE FENSTER) in France

* THE RED COCKATOO (DER ROTE KAKADU) in Italy

* SOPHIE SCHOLL - THE FINAL DAYS (SOPHIE SCHOLL - DIE LETZTEN TAGE) in Greece

* THE WHITE MASAI (DIE WEISSE MASSAI) in Spain

* THE WILD SOCCER BUNCH (DIE WILDEN KERLE I) in Holland

 

The "Distribution Support" program of German Films has existed since 2005.

The funding is intended for the financing of additional measures to

supplement the release campaign which had already been planned by the

foreign distributors. The support to a maximum of Euros 50.000 is granted

in the the form of a conditionally repayable loan. Funding of up Euros

10.000 can also be allocated as a grant.
