22nd World Film Festival Montreal - German film in competition for the first time since 1995

The WFF Montreal (27.08.-07.09.1998), one of the few so-called "A-festivals" and thus, formally, the most important film event on the North American continent, will bepresenting a total fifteen German films this year:

Oliver Storz will be participating in the Feature Film Competition with HUNGER (HUNGER - SEHNSUCHT NACH LIEBE) by Dana Vávrová as well as the shorts GUTEN MORGEN, DEUTSCHLAND by Aykut Kayacik, KOCHZEIT by Selma Brenner and STEP TOWARD VICTORY (DER SIEG) by Robert Krause.


The sidebar Cinema of Tomorrow has invited Fatih Akin with SHORT SHARP SHOCK (KURZ UND SCHMERZLOS), Rudolf Thome with TIGERSTREIFENBABY WARTET AUF TARZAN, and Laila Pakalnina with THE SHOE, and the Television Films section will show REISE IN DIE NACHT by Matti Geschonnek.
