Perspektive Deutsches Kino showcases the next generation of German filmmakers, fostering directorial talents who are on their way to making a name for themselves.

This year's program will open on Friday, 21 February with the film KIDS RUN by Barbara Ott.

Once again, this year's Berlinale will be presenting a multitude of German films and international co-productions with German participation in the various sections of the official program.

LOLA AT BERLINALE

With box office hits and award-winning films, the German film industry is at a commercial and creative highpoint. Select screenings at the EFM spotlight the best in German film with "Lola at Berlinale", a program of films long-listed for the German Film Awards (aka Lola). The films in the categories of feature and documentary are screened with the directors in attendance. Screenings are open to accredited professionals and members of the German Film Academy eligible to take part in the nomination. For further information, please contact lola@berlinale.de.

 
 
EUROPEAN SHOOTING STARS 2020

For the 23rd edition of EUROPEAN SHOOTING STARS a jury of industry experts selected ten of the most gifted young European acting talents who will be presented to the film industry, public and international press during the first weekend of the 70th Berlinale. The event culminates in the awards ceremony at the Berlinale Palast on Monday, 24 February where each of the talents will be presented with the EUROPEAN SHOOTING STARS Award.

This year's Shooting Star from Germany is JONAS DASSLER.
