KINO! FILM SALON: PHOENIX by Christian Petzold

Focus of the next KINO! FILM SALON online film club on September 7 will be PHOENIX by Christian Petzold, one of the most renowned directors of contemporary German cinema. The film celebrated its world premiere at TIFF in 2014, and now the director returns to the festival with his recent drama MIROIRS NO. 3 in the prestigious CENTERPIECE section, starring Paula Beer.

The virtual session starts with a brief introduction by Christian Petzold (courtesy of TIFF)! RSVP here to participate.

TIFF TRIBUTE AWARD FOR NINA HOSS

A great honor for German actor Nina Hoss: she will receive the TIFF Tribute Performer Award at this year's festival.

She stars in this year’s  Special Presentation section in HEDDA, directed by Nia DaCosta. Hoss previously attended the festival with THE WHITE MASSAI, PHOENIX, and THE AUDITION.
