Together with PALACE Cinema German Films is organizing the Festival of German Films in Australia. The festival takes place in 7 Australian Cities and shows a big selection of new German Cinema. Goethe Institute Australia is presenting its popular sidebar KINO FOR KIDS that shows five to six German film titles for a younger audience. In 2024 the festival will take place from May 7 to June 10.

Taking a stand for gender diversity in film, EFP (European Film Promotion) successfully launched EUROPE! VOICES OF WOMEN IN FILM at the Sydney Film Festival (SFF) in 2016. In close cooperation with SFF, the program recognizes new works by some of Europe's most exciting women directors and presents them in a dedicated section of the festival. Suggested by the respective EFP member organizations and selected by festival director Nashen Moodley, the program highlights the virtuosity and strength of innovative European cinema by women film artists and features their work to Sydney's enthusiastic audience, press and Australia's welcoming and promising market.
