Katharina Schöde was born in 1974 in Cologne and studied Journalism and Drama at the Freie Universität in Berlin. Her first experience in film was in the domain of continuity and script for various theatrical and TV productions. In 1998 she took up studies in Directing at the University of Television and Film in Munich. Her script adaptation of the stage play Die Kurve by Tankred Dorst was a huge success in 2002 and won numerous international awards. Her graduation film GEFÜHLTE TEMPERATUR (2005) was shown successfully at many festivals. She is also active as a scriptwriter and producer.
