Family vacation at an isolated house by the sea – Helen, Johannes and their daughter Frances. But something is amiss. Slight confusions, subtle shifts in reality. The house starts unfolding a second, disturbing story – told from a little boy’s perspective. When his mother dies, his father falls into depression. The boy wants to save him – with piano music. But things change. Lives vanish. 7 years and at the same time 6 days. Two families threaten to fall apart. All of them play boules: whoever touches the center, loses. Times are blurred. Lost memories urge to the surface. Everything is interconnected. But how? A vague anxiety grows. Pain, sounds, picture fragments haunt Helen – concealing another life. A stranger appears. Seems oddly familiar. Who are you? The family structure gets cracks. Something unspoken in between. Distrust appears. A disquieting silence. Helen delves into the depths of her subconscious mind in search of an answer. But what does it take? The mosaic becomes a picture. Nothing really disappears. Nothing is ever really forgotten.
