Michael Roehrig was born in 1951 and read Theater Studies in Munich. He became a dramaturg and producer, working from 1986-1992 on such films as Babes in Toyland, Zabou, Butterbrot and the six-part mini-series Mission Eureka. In 1994, he became a managing shareholder in the production company Blue Screen Film and has produced Willkommen in Kronstadt (1995, TV), Kalte Kuesse (1996, TV) and Maria (1996).
