Michal Kosakowski was born in 1975 in Szczecin/Poland. Active as a director, writer, producer, director of photography and editor of numerous short and experimental films, documentaries and video installations, his work includes more than 70 films, many of which have been shown at international festivals and exhibitions and have received numerous awards. He founded his own production company while studying at the Vienna Film Academy and followed this with collaborations with Oliviero Toscani and work as a film editor. From 2008-2011, he was also an instructor for Experimental Film & the Theory of Filmmaking at the Media Design Academy in Munich.
