Otto Alexander Jahrreiss was born in 1964 and worked as a free-lance fashion photographer in Munich and Los Angeles. He worked as an assistant director and eventually taught directing at the Film Academy Baden-Wuerttemberg. In 1993 he wrote, produced and directed his first feature film, Men-Eater, that was shown at numerous festivals. He then directed
TV projects such as Balko (TV series), the TV movies Die Stimme des Moerders and China Dream , and the features All About Bob (Alles Bob, 1999) and Zoom - It's Always About Getting Closer (2000).
