Juliane Fezer was born in Heidelberg, Germany. She worked as assistant director for both theater and film before graduating in Film Directing at the University of Television & Film Munich (HFF). During her studies, she founded the production company JULEX FILM together with producer Alexandra Krampe. Active as a director and writer, her films also include: the shorts JEDER GEHT IN SICH SELBST ZUERST, NACKTE TATSACHEN, HUND II and the mid-length film FOR FREEDOM (NACH FREIHEIT). Her highly respected feature film debut SILENT SEA (MEERES STILLE) received international awards and was screened around the world.
