Frieder Wittich was born in 1974 in Stuttgart. From 1993-1995, he served as a camera assistant for the broadcasters SAT.1 and the Landesstudio Stuttgart, followed by an internship from 1995-1996 with the scriptwriters Krystian Martinek and Neithard Riedel in Hamburg. From 1996-1998, he co-wrote four TV movies together with Krystian Martinek. From 1998-2005 he studied at the University of Television & Film in Munich. His films include: MOSQUITO (short, 1999), OPUS (short, 2002), 13 SEMESTERS (2009), and BECK’S LAST SUMMER (2015).
