Alexander Adolph was born in 1965 in Munich and sometimes uses the penname of Nanouk C. Wilmer. After finishing school he completed a Law degree at Munich’s Ludwig-Maximilians University. He was already writing radio plays, features and reports at the time. In 1997 his radio play Flirt won the international U.R.T.I. award (Grand Prix de la Radio). He has been working primarily as an award-winning freelance scriptwriter and director since the mid nineties. Since 2002, he has been teaching at the University of Television and Film Munich, the ifs International Film School in Cologne and at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy.
