Refuge (Unter die Haut)

Refuge

Holding the office of the local pastor, Henri is a man of high standing. He is happily married to Barbara and, even though being 15 years older than her, he enjoys his marriage and his role as father of a three-month-old son. Can this man possibly be a murderer? The viewers will be anxious to hear the answer to this question right until the very end of the film. They will witness the story of a young Russian looking for shelter while Henri is away from home. Barbara hides him in the loft and, what is more, she has a terrible crush on the handsome young man. But then two horrible murders occur. Does the refugee have anything to do with them? Or maybe Henri, who still does not know that someone is hiding in his loft? The interplay of happy marriage, love affair and brutal reality leads Barbara to make a mistake which could turn out to be fatal ...
