Scene from "The Night Father Christmas Died"

Christmas Eve: While the world is celebrating the feast of love, three people are particularly lonely. As he does not want to be alone on this day, Richard wanders around the city in a Santa Claus costume to be Father Christmas for the children of strangers - all for free. Sasha is a very successful and beloved music star. Though she is loved by her fans she has no true friends and family to spend Christmas with. Ivan, a Russian hitman, has just finished his last job of the year. After months of loneliness he slips up into a dangerous situation when he gets involved with a traveling stranger.

After a momentous shoot-out in a hotel room, some bullets make their way to the neighboring room...and fate takes its course.

The Night Father Christmas Died is a modern fairy tale filled with drama, humor, action and magic.

Martin Schreier was born 1980 in Kronberg and literally grew up in a music studio, meeting creative talents such as Boney M. or Falco at an early age. He lived in Spain for several years and worked, already a student, for several film, TV and commercial production companies as an intern and freelancer. Since 2006 he has been studying Directing at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Film Academy. In 2009 he got a scholarship and participated in the UCLA / Film Academy Hollywood Masterlcass in Los Angeles. Just recently he has won the ProSiebenSat1 Prime Time Award. While he is working on his feature film diploma, his last film The Night Father Christmas Died was selected as a finalist for the 2010 Student Academy Award.
