Superbrain (Superbrain - Der Bankraub des Jahrhunderts)

Superbrain

Gripping thriller about probably the most spectacular bank raid of the "tunnel gangsters" in Berlin. Superbrain has taken over the planning and carrying out of the coup. The planning is carried out step for step. No detail is missed. The gangsters obtain the plans for the sewers and rent a garage near to the bank. They dig a tunnel from the garage to the bank. The preparations last months. On 27 July 1995, the gangsters raid the bank and take 16 people hostage. However, their hostage demands are only partly fulfilled. The hostage-takers threaten to shoot the first hostages. They blow up all of the lockers and try to escape through the tunnel that is now under water. As midnight approaches, the police unit storms the bank. They are too late.
