Mrs. Rettich, Czerny and Me (Frau Rettich, die Czerni und ich)

Mrs. Rettich, Czerny and Me

Mrs. Rettich, 38, is the head of the editorial office in a publishing house. Chic, sophisticated and capricious. Her main subject is Spanish, and she worships Spain and the Spanish as living Gods. Sophie, 20, a qualified librarian, is responsible for the despatch at the same publishing house. Actually rather shy but, despite this, rebellious and sharp-tongued. She worships the bookshop owner Bakunin - from afar. For she becomes awkward and insecure in his presence. Czerny, around 35, also works in the same publishing house. Her quick-wittedness is more pronounced than her intelligence. Sophie and Rettich are her best friends, a fact, however, that doesn't stop her from constantly arguing with them. Czerny lives with Bart to whom she is faithful but not devoted. The three ladies travel to the South. Mrs. Rettich is pregnant and wants to marry her Spanish lover in Barcelona. Sophie is unhappily in love and wants to forget her beloved. Czerny wants to have a good time at the other two's expense. What the ladies don't know is that there are two gentlemen following them....
