Three children look for dead animals and find a nice place to bury them. One day when they have nothing to do, Ester takes some fish from the fridge. The whole day they bury a bumble-bee, a mouse, a hamster, snails. But at the end of the day they are really tired. Then suddenly a blackbird crashes into the window, and they give her the best funeral in the whole world. But then they decide to play another game the next day, because it is too much hard work.

Ester organizes everything, Ulf writes wonderful poems – “Little fish in a dish. Life is not always what you wish”- and Putte thinks and asks a lot about death and life.

A funny and extraordinary story about children's view on death.
