STELVIO. CROSSROADS OF PEACE is a documentary film about an extraordinary place in the heart of Europe: The Stelvio Pass. By interweaving interviews with visitors, evenly paced action, moments of suspense and bursts of landscape, the film depicts the Stelvio of today with a spiritual inflection. It examines what is left of its tragic and heroic past, during which neighboring peoples were adversaries who fought each other in the bitter cold of The White War, the realities concealed and the possibilities offered, and the people who live and spend time there. What does Stelvio represent today?
