Moondance

Moondance

A romantic, humorous love story set in contemporary rural Ireland. Moondance is essentially a story about the strong relationship between two brothers and falling in love for the first time. When we first meet Patrick and Dominic, the brothers are enjoying their independent existence living in a beautiful country house in West Cork. The boys' eccentric mother spends much of her time travelling abroad, occasionally returning to pay the bills. All this begins to change with the arrival of Anya, a strong-willed, beautiful girl. At first, she simply becomes a friend to the two boys, but as the brothers each develop a romantic attachment to Anya, their lives become filled with confusion and turmoil. Gradually, Patrick and Anya are drawn to each other as they fall in love, a situation that Dominic cannot readily accept. And so the brothers' previously solid relationship begins to come under increasing pressure, especially when Dominic starts to supplant Patrick as the object of Anya's love.
