Tiger and Bear can hardly believe their luck when they discover an old treasure map on their fishing-hook. When Kurt, the dog, shows up and tries to have a look, a scuffle ensues whereby the map gets torn in two and one half is carried away by the wind.

While Tiger and Bear glumly bemoan their loss, little rabbit Jochen Gummy Bear is jumping for joy because he finally found tomcat Gokatz, the greatest detective of all times. He hopes that he will find friends for him but Gokatz is not interested in the job. When the wind blows half of the treasure map in his face, he has a splendid idea. Gokatz gives Jochen the crumpled piece of paper, claiming it is a valuable map that will help him find friends.

The little rabbit hops away and soon runs into Tiger and Bear. Now that they have both halves of the map, the adventure may begin! Meanwhile Gokatz realizes his mistake and sets out with his own gang in quest of the treasure.

So begins a thrilling treasure hunt full of surprising encounters which leads to the hiding place, an old pirate ship in the ice ocean. Yet the most important lesson they all learn is that friendship is more valuable than all the riches in the world.
