Evaluation The "little brother" of Sundance has gained more significance over the years. It runs parallel to Sundance and enjoys a very good reputation. More and more filmmakers are sending their debut features, among them an increasing number of young European directors. The festival has meanwhile established itself as an attractive alternative to Sundance. The winners of the awards for narrative, documentary and animated short qualify for the Annual Academy Awards.
