Only films from the Asian Pacific Region or in co-production with a country of the Asian Pacific Region and finished after 1 January 2016 can participate in the competition.
The competition can include films that were screened before at other film festivals.

Evaluation The Festival takes place every year. The festival organizes workshops, master classes, Meet-the-Audience sessions, retrospective screenings of the world film masterpieces and a festival village etc.

Services The festival covers all insurance and storage costs during the festival and all shipment costs for the film prints selected for the festival. The festival covers a round-trip ticket and a 7-day stay in Vladivostok for representatives of films participating in the Festival competition.
