Specific Characteristics The winner of the short film competition automatically qualifies for the OSCAR competition for the Best Short Film. The jury nominates a short film from the international competition for the European Film Awards.Evaluation The festival is the world's premier address in the field of short film festivals and markets and it is the biggest of its kind in France. In terms of audience and professional attendance, it is the second festival in France (after Cannes). A growing number of deals are concluded in the commercially oriented market section, which was enlarged due to the great demand. A considerable number of professionals from international promotion bodies, short film agencies, production and distribution companies and networks, associations and technical industries share the big market space.
Services Directors of films in Competition are invited by the festival: hotel accommodation for the duration of the festival, food vouchers as well as a share of the travel costs (80 Euro).
