Evaluation Good selection by a five-member commitee of foreign, especially European film productions from the current year. Very interesting, particularly for independent distributors residing in New York; of great cultural and artistic significance and a trendsetter in the arthouse field. A highly-acclaimed and well-organized festival which gains in exclusivity due to the maximum of 35 films in its program. Every film presented receives a New York Times review which is read by the entire US film community - hence a good review can pave the way for US exhibition.
