In April the new edition of the NEXT GENERATION SHORT TIGER short film program had its cinema premiere at Filmfest Dresden. The international premiere in Cannes will be the next highlight, before the films start on their international tour.
From April 19 to 23, the TYSKE FILMDAGE in Copenhagen presented a wide range of German films that have been well-received at major international festivals. Actor Enzo Brumm and director Viktor Jakovleski were on site in Denmark to present their films.
Three international stops in one month highlighted Ildikó Enyedi’s SILENT FRIEND, with FACE TO FACE WITH GERMAN FILMS ambassador and actor Enzo Brumm presenting the film at Istanbul Film Festival, Sofia International Film Festival, and Tyske Filmdage in Copenhagen.
The International TV Series Festival, Series Mania, took place in Lille from March 20 to 27, 2026. At the Forum—the industry arm of Series Mania Festival, Europe’s largest event dedicated to series—German Films hosted a one-hour panel titled "Face to Face with German Talents: Serious about Series."
On March 23, 2026, German Films organized a pitching event at China Film Group’s headquarters in Beijing, where five German world sales companies—Epsilon Film, Global Constellation, Studio 100 Film, Sola Media GmbH, and The Playmaker Munich—presented their films to key Chinese industry representatives.
European Film Promotion (EFP) announced this year's Producers on the Move at the end of April. German producer Philipp Trauer from BerghausWöbke Filmproduktion, who is one of the 20 up-and-coming producers in this year's program, represents Germany.

KOSCHKA by Bernd Sahling at Zlín International Film Festival for Children and Youth Zlín International Film Festival for Children and Youth presents the Main Competitions of its 66th Edition, taking part from May 28 to June 3, 2026. The respected German author of films for children and youth, Bernd Sahling, returns to Zlín with his new film KOSCHKA (Germany), which the festival will present as a world premiere in the International Competition of Feature Films in the Children Category. The film, intended for the youngest viewers, works with the motif of caring for animals, through which it naturally opens up themes of friendship and responsibility.

Prestigious lecturers come from the most varied fields of expertise in the film industry.
