Gregor lives with his beloved and frail grandmother, whose legs grow weaker every day. Her obnoxious girl friends want her to join them at the old folks’ home, but grandson Gregor loves her dearly – and is a gifted inventor. When he learns that granny is able to walk under water, he comes up with a brilliant idea...

Johannes Kiefer was born and raised in Munich. After a university degree in Literature and History, he began his career as a researcher for the director Wolfgang Petersen. Additionally, he worked as a first assistant director and assistant editor. Gregor’s Greatest Invention (Gregors groesste Erfindung) is his directorial debut and was among the five nominees this year for the OSCAR in the category Best Short Film - Live Action. He is currently developing his first feature length comedy script.
