Snowtime (Schneezeit)

Snowtime is a filmic meditation about the essence of time.

For decades, Oskar has been living in a lonely cottage in the middle of endless, snow-covered fields. The past and the future, memories and the present superimpose each other in this constantly frozen landscape until the borders between time become so thin that it appears one could transcend them.

Hannes Burchert was born in 1980 in Itzehoe. He studied Film at the Academy of Fine Arts in Hamburg until 2008. His other films include: the shorts Es regnet (2004), Stunden weit entfernt (2007), Anja, Tanja, Heike und Mareike (2007), and his gradulation film Schneezeit (2008). He is currently preparing feature-length fiction films.
