GRUFFALO, THE (GRÜFFELO, DER)

A magical tale of a mouse who takes a stroll through the woods. Encountering three predators – a fox, an owl and a snake – the plucky mouse has to use his wits to survive.
Jakob Schuh was born in 1976 in Munich. He studied Animation at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy and co-founded Studio Soi in 2003. His award-winning short films include ERNST IN AUTUMN (ERNST IM HERBST, 2006, co-director: Jakob Sieber), ANGEL AFOOT (ENGEL ZU FUSS, 2008, co-director: Saschka Unseld) and THE GRUFFALO (2009, co-director: Max Lang).
Max Lang was born in Duisburg in 1982. He studied at the Animation School Hamburg and the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in Ludwigsburg. His short films include DER TRAUM VOM FLIEGEN (2006), MODUL (2007), SAPMI (2008, co-director: Jan Lachauer), and THE GRUFFALO (2009, co-director: Jakob Schuh).
