Rudi Gaul was born in Munich in 1982. He studied Theater Studies, German Literature, and Political Science at the University of Munich, during which time he also directed various plays on the free theatre scene. The Room in the Mirror (Das Zimmer im Spiegel, 2008) is his first full-length feature. He is currently working on several new film projects with Schattengewaechs Filmproduktion – a group of young filmmakers and artists in Bavaria.
