Adolf Eichman was asked how he could explain the killing of 6 million Jews. He answered, "One hundred dead are a catastrophe, a million dead are a statistic." This film serves as a remembrance, a lesson and a warning against reduction of the facts to statistics.
Dieter Hildebrandt was born in 1927 in Lower Silesia. Also active as an actor and writer, he directed Welche Farbe hat das Grauen? (1979), and The Yellow Star (1980), which was nominted for an Academy Award.
