Under the Milky Way (Unter der Milchstrasse)
A young student is working as a sleeping car attendant and travelling all over Europe in the night trains. With his colleagues from the demi-monde, he gets mixed up in a number of breathtaking adventures which draw him into a jungle of erotic fantasies and rather crooked deals.
M. X. Oberg was born in 1969 in Hamburg and made three short films before shooting the feature Under the Milky Way (Unter der Milchstrasse, 1996) which was shown at many film festivals worldwide. In 1999, he made his first international feature film Undertaker's Paradise (Ein Todsicheres Geschaeft), shot on location in Great Britain. In summer 2002, he directed the modern drama The Stratosphere Girl (2003), a story that takes place in Tokyo and Cologne.
