Specific Characteristics Recognized by FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Associations) as Competitive Spezialised Feature Film Festival. The winner of the short film competition automatically qualifies for the OSCAR competition for the Best Short Film.

Evaluation An international platform for up-and-coming directors. The commercial international and national importance is limited, but the audience has the possibility to watch new films from abroad. Canal Plus Spain usually buys most of the short films of the official section for broadcast.
