Evaluation Singular in its concentration on politically relevant international documentary films. Since other genres are not eligible for admission, there is a strong presence of documentary filmmakers, with the personal exchange of ideas forming an important aspect of the festival atmosphere. A very interesting year-in-review is offered. As a result of its excellent location in Munich, the festival offers a well-developed infrastructure. The recently established DOK.forum, a platform for industry and new talent, extends the scope of the festival with important examinations of the prospects of documentary filmmaking, with all German-language filmschools and commissioning editors from German, Austria, Switzerland and South Tyrol participating.
