Specific Characteristics Recognized by FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Associations) as Documentary and/or Short Film Festival. The winner of the short film competition automatically qualifies for the OSCAR competition for the Best Short Film. The winner of the short film competition is automatically nominated for the European Film Awards.Evaluation Tampere is the main short film event in Europe, next to Clermont-Ferrand and Oberhausen, and one of the most attractive film festivals in Northern Europe. The festival atmosphere is extremely friendly and communicative. Top program of short films and documentaries. A international competition for shorts made by children was introduced 2004. The festival is of strong national significance with many buyers and media representatives from Finland and a large number of international short film festival scouts.
Services Festival covers the return costs of the screening print and three hotel nights for the director of the film in the competition.
