Evaluation By comparison to its namesake in Tuebingen, this is a much smaller event, but one with a similar specialization in premieres and shows of work from France. The strong regional bias is reflected in good attendance figures, but it also means that the film festival receives little attention in the press outside the region, and the wider film world is only marginally represented. Nonetheless, a significant testing ground for distributors of French films. The festival takes place in Leipzig and Halle at the same time.
