Terms of Entry Features, shorts, documentaries, animation of all styles and lengths are eligible for consideration. Completed film must be no more than one year old. If a feature, must be a North American premiere (Short films are excluded from this rule).

Participants of the Film Industry around half of the visitors are distributors, producers and especially casting agents;
"The Telluride International Film Festival celebrates the art of filmmaking much more than the art of deal making. Many industry proferssionals come, but we encourage them to turn off their cell phones, and just enjoy the show."

Evaluation An important independent festival, which is constantly gaining significance and which enjoys an excellent reputation as a major showcase for new independent productions from all over the world. Focus: newcomer and new talents. Showing a film at Telluride is viewed as a mark of quality in specialist circles. In addition there are panel discussions, special events. US distributors and film critics are exploring the festival. The program is not revealed before the opening.
